Graduate Research Assistant

I'm a GRA at UGA who is focused on topics in computing related to algorithmic complexity, approximation algorithms, and artificial intelligence.

Currently, I'm researching jointly under Dr Parasuraman and Dr Pidaparti. I'm researching precision poultry farming where I'm working on a simulation for the thousands of chickens that would be present in commercial facilities. Using this simulation, I'm researching pathfinding techniques for dense and dynamic environments (like the 20k chickens). Under Dr Pidaparti, I'm assisting with engineering education projects that involves creating tools for middle school teachers in order to help middle schoolers learning concepts related to computer vision.

I've completed my undergrad and Master's here at UGA where I spent time researching video anomaly detection. For my master's project, I developed a linear program that sorts students into teams based on their preferences, roles they can fulfill, and the roles the teams need. This project was practically useful because it helped the Game Builder's Club sort their members into teams for semester projects!

When I'm not working on a pet project for an interesting algorithm or data structure design, I'll indulge game design as a hobby. I'm part of the Game Builder's Club here at UGA where I've been a part of several teams producing projects each semester. Between semesters, I'll most definitely have either a video game or board game that I'm prototyping. I also like to boulder, drum, and work out.
