Graduate Assistant Policy Students on assistantships (TA/RA) must register for at least 12-14 credit hours for fall and or spring semesters, and 9 credit hours for summer semester.

Forms
Graduate Academic Advisement Form - Students will be permitted to register for any CSCI@ 6000 or @8000 course once cleared of their advisement hold. This form is ONLY required for CSCI 8990-Research Seminar course access, and must be signed by instructor of the course and returned to Graduate Program Administrator, slvargh@uga.edu.
Independent Study/Internship Form - Form to be signed by faculty instructor of the independent study course or Graduate Coordinator for off- campus internships. Students with off-campus internships and F1 visa must register for Internship course, CSCI 7007 3 credit hours. Email signed form to Graduate Program Administrator, slvargh@uga.edu. Graduate Coordinator email is: cs-grad-coordinator@uga.edu.

Late Add Form- if registering after end of drop/add period. Email form to instructor of course and CS Dept Head, Dr. Thiab Taha,trtaha@uga.edu. Student is responsible for submitting form to Registrars office. Please complete an Independent Study form, with faculty instructor signature, and submit to slvargh@uga.edu for the late-added course.
Departmental Travel Funding Request- This request is for travel funding for students presenting their research at conferences and professional meetings. CS graduate student must have abstract, acceptance, and request Graduate School funding prior to making a request for CS departmental funding. Contact Graduate Program Administrator, Samantha Varghese at slvargh@uga.edu for assistance.
