Outreach, Diversity, & BPC

The School of Computing has established an Outreach & Diversity Committee, whose goal is to provide leadership and coordination to departmental efforts towards maintaining and enhancing a diverse and inclusive environment for learning, teaching, research, and service. The committee provides leadership and coordination to departmental outreach activities at the local, state, and national level, especially those that impact under-represented communities. The committee also coordinates with the Office of Institutional Diversity at the University of Georgia to make the School of Computing faculty, students, and staff aware of training and learning opportunities for diversity education and diversity related events on the university campus. The committee also works to identify and obtain additional resources enhancing diversity and outreach activities in cooperation with the Office of Institutional Diversity at the University of Georgia.
